    NEA has joined forces with the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) in establishing the Hurricane Irma Relief Fund for members living in Florida. The AFT Foundation is accepting donations for hurricane relief that will go directly to educators living in the state of Florida, the Caribbean, and other affected US territories during this year's hurricane season.

    Florida educators whose classrooms were impacted by Hurricane Irma will be eligible to apply for support. Additionally it is expected that teacher applicants will have membership with NEA, AFT, or both.

    Deadline information has yet to be established, as AFT and NEA are still in the process of raising funds. Please contact the funders for more information as to when it is expected that these funds will be available.
